Festival UK* 2022 was a UK-wide celebration of creativity, innovation and public engagement, designed to showcase the country’s strengths in both the creative and scientific sectors. The programme brought together a series of ambitious, large-scale initiatives aimed at engaging audiences and highlighting the UK’s creative thinking on a national and international stage.
Festival UK* championed collaboration across Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), creating new opportunities for people to experience creativity in unexpected ways. The programme was developed by leading organisations and renowned individuals working alongside emerging talent and underrepresented voices, ensuring a diverse and inclusive platform for ideas.
With a strong focus on research and development, Festival UK* invested in new creative projects and multidisciplinary teams, positioning the initiative as a catalyst for innovation, talent development and public engagement across the UK.
Odyssey New Media assisted Festival UK* 2022 over a contracted six-week period from September 2020 to October 2020, supporting a targeted awareness campaign aimed at companies and creative teams operating within the STEAM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). The primary objective of this activity was to ensure relevant organisations were aware of the opportunity to apply for Birmingham Commonwealth Games Festival 2022 project funding.
To achieve this, we planned, launched and managed highly targeted Google AdWords and LinkedIn Ads campaigns, designed to reach decision-makers, innovators and creative professionals across key industries. These paid media campaigns focused on maximising visibility, driving qualified traffic and delivering clear messaging around the funding opportunity and application process.
Through a data-driven approach to keyword research, audience targeting and ad optimisation, we helped Festival UK* significantly increase awareness across priority sectors, supporting strong engagement levels and contributing towards achieving their application volume targets within a short campaign timeframe.
